Welcome to the first lesson of the Electrcian Trade Theory . As an aspring electrcian , your juourney begins not just with wire and circuits but with the most crucial foundation of the industry Safety.



The Electrician trade is one the most vital technical fields, powering everything from small homes to massive industries. However, working professional electrician is defined not just by their technical skill, but by their commitment to safety standards. 



Today's Lesson : Safety and Safety Rules 



" Accudents do not just happen; they are the result of unsafe acts. Follow safety , save lives!"



Understanding Unsafe Acts and Their Consequences 



Accidents often occur due to haste or negligence. These "Unsafe Acts" can lead to life-threatening situations. Common examples include. 



         Violating Traffic : Speeding or riding a motorcycle without a helmet. 



          Negligence at Heights :  Working at elevated levels without using a PPE kit or safety belts. 



         Demoestic / Industrial Negletct :  Leaving gas valves open in kitchens or laboratories. 



         Using Improper Tools :  Using a knife instead of a screwdriver or usning tools without proper insulation. 



Why Safety Important? 



                  Adopting safe working habits protects human life, prevents property damage, and saves time and money. A skilled craftsman is a safe craftsman. 



Essential Safety Rules For Electrician 



To ensure a hazard-free environment, every strudent and professional must follow these ten golden rules. 



1) Keep the Workspace Clean :  Always keep the workspace floor clean and gather complete information about any machinery before operating it. 



2) Use Insulated Tools :  Always perform tasks using properly insulated tools to prevent shocks. 



3) Safety at Height :  Mandatory use of a safety belt when working at high elevations. 



4) Avoid Working on Live Circuits :  Never work on a live circuit. if unavoidable, ensure the main switch is turned off first. 



5)  Use Rubber Mat :  While working of panel boards, always stand on a rubber mat for insulation. 



6) Stay Clear of Rotating Parts : Do not touch moving parts of motors or generator while they are running. 



7) Discharge Static Voltage : Always discharge static voltage before working on capacitors or high voltage line. 



8) Ladder Safety : If using a ladder for high-altitude work, always have a second person hold the ladder for stability. 



9) Read Manuals :  Always refer to the equipment manual before handling any electrcial machine. 



10) Remove Jewelry :  Remove all rings, bracelets, or metal ornaments from your hands before starting electrical work.
